Your Combination Livestock Share may include any of the following: ham steaks, breakfast sausage, Sweet Italian sausage, bacon, Canadian bacon, ribs, chops, cutlets, kabobs, ground meat, stewing meat, Sweet Italian Lamb sausage, and shanks. The Pork or Lamb Share 2011
Poultry Share 2011
This year we are offering two Heritage Breed Turkeys for November. White Holland, a broad breasted turkey bred in the Hudson River Valley back in the 1600s, and the Narragansett, a smaller breasted, and slightly darker meat bird bred in Rhode Island in the 1700s. Both are excellent flavored birds, and will make a great addition to your holiday meals. The turkeys will be priced at $6.40 per pound, with a $50 deposit on order. Pickup will be in November, and the final price will include a $4.85 butcher's fee. Both birds will be offered in sizes small, medium, or large. Exact weights cannot be guaranteed. This share starts in early April and runs through mid June, or approximately 11 to 12 weeks. We will utilize our solar greenhouses to gain early production. Crops will include Arugula, Asian Greens, Baby Beets, Basil, Beet Greens, Bok Choi, Chinese Cabbage, Chives, Garlic, Green Onions, Heirloom Lettuces, Italian Parsley, Mizuna, Red Onions, Rhubarb, Salad Greens, Sessantina, Spicy Greens, Spinach, Sugar Snap Peas, Swiss Chard, and (hopefully) the first early strawberries. The cost of the Early Spring Share is $385 for a full share and $285 for a small share (we reserve the right to add a heating fuel surcharge of up to $15 if March is colder than normal).
A Best of Summer Share is approximately 8 to 20 pounds of vegetables, harvested at the peak of the season. This is usually enough to fill one or two large grocery sacks. The cost of a full share is: $325.00 The shares are distributed weekly August through September. Finish the season with a late season vegetable share or join us for a short trial share before next season. This late season share will run for 7 weeks starting early in November. This vegetable share will include both greenhouse grown vegetables and late field grown vegetables such as Arugula, Asian Greens, Broccoli, Cabbage, Carrots, Celeriac, Collards, Green Onions, Kale, Kossac Kohlrabi, Leeks, Lettuces, Mustard Greens, Pak Choi, Potatoes, Red Choi, Red Turnip, Rutabaga, Spinach, Tatsoi, Turnips, White Salad Turnip, Winter Squashes, and a different Heirloom Apple Cultivar each week. The cost of the late season share is $300 full share or $200 small share (we reserve the right to add a heating fuel surcharge of up to $15 if November is colder than normal).
The cost of the Tree Fruit Share is $285, due at sign-up. The shares will be distributed mid-July through early November, or approximately 18 to 20 weeks, dependent on the weather. Some items you might expect in your Fruit Share: White Peaches, Yellow Peaches, Apples, Plums, Cherries, Nectarines, Pears, Apricots Tree fruits are grown using I.P.M. (Integrated Pest Management) methods with limited minimal spraying, all done at the blossom time.
April, May, and June Cut your own daffodils and fresh herbs (basil, thyme, sage, chives, etc) a perfect partner for the Early Spring Vegetable Share. This add-on share will be $100 and run for 11 to 12 weeks
Enjoy the summer season with cut your own herbs, mint, and bright and colorful summer flowers. Keep your vases full with the colors of summer. Zinnias, Snapdragons, Ageratum, Celosia, Gomphrena, Cosmos, and more. The Summer Cutting Garden Share runs for 20 weeks and the cost is $285
