Beef Cattle Livestock Share

  • Add a Beef Livestock Share - the protein share will consist of 8 to 10 packages total of small cuts of beef for grilling, and ground beef patties. Each package should be about 4 servings each.
  • The cost of each Combination Livestock Share is $150, which includes a $5.25 butcher fee and a $.75 U.S.D.A. Inspection fee.
  • The shares will be distributed with one weeks notice. Each share is a one time pickup.
  • Our meat is raised using all-natural practices, no hormones or antibiotics, no animal by-products, butchered at a U.S.D.A. licensed facility, inspected, cut, packaged and flash-frozen.
  • Remember, you are purchasing a share of Livestock, paying a butchering and inspection fee and agreeing to pick your share of meat on the pickup date. Each date has limited shares, so please sign up early.
  • Your Beef Livestock share will include some or all of the following: small steaks, steak tips, Kabobs and plenty of ground beef patties

Combination Livestock Share

  • Add a Combination Livestock Share - the protein share will consist of 8 to 10 packages total of pork and lamb. Each package should be about 4 servings each.
  • The cost of each Combination Livestock Share is $150, which includes a $5.25 butcher fee and a $.75 U.S.D.A. Inspection fee.
  • The shares will be distributed with one weeks notice. Each share is a one time pickup.
  • Our meat is raised using all-natural practices, no hormones or antibiotics, no animal by-products, butchered at a U.S.D.A. licensed facility, inspected, cut, packaged and flash-frozen.

Your Combination Livestock Share may include any of the following:

ham steaks, breakfast sausage, Sweet Italian sausage, bacon, Canadian bacon, ribs, chops, cutlets, kabobs, ground meat, stewing meat, Sweet Italian Lamb sausage, and shanks.

The Pork or Lamb Share

Poultry Share 2012

  • Add a Poultry Share -this share consists of three Rhode Island Red hens. We are offering these wonderful birds at a share price of $60, plus a $6.00 butcher's fee.
  • To reserve a bird we ask for a $25 deposit. You may use PayPal, mail a check or stop by the farm during regular CSA Pickup hours.
  • Rhode Island Reds will be available for pickup in November.
  • $41.00 will be required at pickup.

Turkey Share 2012

This year we are offering two Heritage Breed Turkeys for November. White Holland, a broad breasted turkey bred in the Hudson River Valley back in the 1600s, and the Narragansett, a smaller breasted, and slightly darker meat bird bred in Rhode Island in the 1700s. Both are excellent flavored birds, and will make a great addition to your holiday meals.

The turkeys will be priced at $6.40 per pound, with a $50 deposit on order. Pickup will be in November, and the final price will include a $4.85 butcher's fee.

Both birds will be offered in sizes small, medium, or large. Exact weights cannot be guaranteed.

Early Spring Vegetable Share

This share starts in early April and runs through mid June, or approximately 11 to 12 weeks. We will utilize our solar greenhouses to gain early production. Crops will include Arugula, Asian Greens, Baby Beets, Basil, Beet Greens, Bok Choi, Chinese Cabbage, Chives, Garlic, Green Onions, Heirloom Lettuces, Italian Parsley, Mizuna, Red Onions, Rhubarb, Salad Greens, Sessantina, Spicy Greens, Spinach, Sugar Snap Peas, Swiss Chard, and (hopefully) the first early strawberries.

The cost of the Early Spring Share is $385 for a full share and $285 for a small share (we reserve the right to add a heating fuel surcharge of up to $15 if March is colder than normal).

Mid-Winter Share

The Mid-Winter Share starts the weekend after New Year's Day and runs through March, or at least 10 weeks. This is a fun share in the heart of winter. The spring scent of the greenhouses on a cold, blustery winter day is reason enough to sign up for this share. Included will be greenhouse grown crops, and fall crops from the 'root cellar'.

The cost of a full share is: $360.00
The cost of a small share is: $260.00

The shares are distributed weekly on Saturday, 11a to 3p. Boxed shares are not available with the Mid-Winter Share as there is no place to leave them without danger of freezing!

Late Season Vegetable Share

Finish the season with a late season vegetable share or join us for a short trial share before next season.

This late season share will run for 7 weeks starting early in November.

This vegetable share will include both greenhouse grown vegetables and late field grown vegetables such as Arugula, Asian Greens, Broccoli, Cabbage, Carrots, Celeriac, Collards, Green Onions, Kale, Kossac Kohlrabi, Leeks, Lettuces, Mustard Greens, Pak Choi, Potatoes, Red Choi, Red Turnip, Rutabaga, Spinach, Tatsoi, Turnips, White Salad Turnip, Winter Squashes, and a different Heirloom Apple Cultivar each week.

The cost of the late season share is $300 full share or $200 small share (we reserve the right to add a heating fuel surcharge of up to $15 if November is colder than normal).

Tree Fruit Share

The cost of the Tree Fruit Share is $285, due at sign-up.

The shares will be distributed mid-July through early November, or approximately 18 to 20 weeks, dependent on the weather.

Some items you might expect in your Fruit Share: White Peaches, Yellow Peaches, Apples, Plums, Cherries, Nectarines, Pears, Apricots

Tree fruits are grown using I.P.M. (Integrated Pest Management) methods with limited minimal spraying, all done at the blossom time.

Daffodil Cutting Garden

April and May (or while the daffodils are in bloom)

Cut your own daffodils from our assorted varieties to dress up your early spring table. Each week come and cut a fresh spring-scented bouquet

Herb Cutting Garden

Cut your own fresh herbs (basil, thyme, sage, chives, etc) a perfect partner for the Early Spring Vegetable Share. Greenhouse grown and early container grown herbs will be included. Summer will bring field grown and outdoor container grown herbs. Perfect weekly bouquet garni made just to your specifications!

This add-on share will be $95 and run from mid-June through October or along with the Summer Vegetable Share.

Summer Flower Cutting Garden

Enjoy the summer season with cut your own herbs, mint, and bright and colorful summer flowers. Keep your vases full with the colors of summer. Zinnias, Snapdragons, Ageratum, Celosia, Gomphrena, Cosmos, and more. Perfect companion share with the Summer Vegetable Share.

The Summer Cutting Garden Share runs for 20 weeks and the cost is $95 or mid-June through October

The Summer Vegetable Share

The share that started the whole CSA movement. You pay the farm upfront in the spring, and during the summer season you receive your share of the harvest on a weekly schedule. The farm receives its spring operating cash without going to the commercial lenders, and you received fresh, wholesome, locally-grown vegetables for you and your family. This shares contains all the usual and sometimes the unusual summer vegetables. Just when you think you can't eat another green, leafy vegetable, the heart of summer arrives with all the standards you expect - tomatoes, green beans, cucumbers, peppers, and more. Each season has its surprises.

A Full Summer Vegetable Share for 2012 is $685

A Small Summer Vegetable Share for 2012 is $535

Everyone Eats

Remaining vegetables and unclaimed shares are donated to local food pantries or soup kitchens at the end of each distribution week.
